LOS ANGELES: Critical Content has formed a board of directors that includes Frank Biondi, former chairman and CEO of Universal Studios; Chad Gutstein, CEO of Machinima; and Lauren Zalaznick, former NBCUniversal executive VP.

Also on the board are Mark Itkin, former co-head of television and a member of the Board of Directors at William Morris Endeavor; John Sykes, the president of iHeartMedia Entertainment Enterprises; and Tom Forman, CEO of Critical Content. Al Aguirre, an experienced board member of both public and private companies, will chair the board.

“I’m thrilled with the make-up of our board of directors, which is comprised of some of the brightest minds and most respected names in the media business,” Forman said. “They agreed to join us at Critical, I believe, because they see what we see: a well-financed, fully independent entrepreneurial content company that’s focused on growth. We’re lucky to have them.”

“This is an important day for Critical Content, as all the pieces are in place for the company to realize and execute on its ambitious growth objectives,” said Kevin Ulrich, the CEO of Anchorage Capital Group, Critical Content’s largest shareholder. “We could not be more pleased with the world-class team in place and look forward to the company’s next chapter.”
