NEW YORK: Spike has ordered a ten-part, half-hour game show that it is billing as “Cash Cab meets karaoke,” to be produced by CORE Media Group.

Caraoke Showdown will be hosted and executive produced by Craig Robinson. Howie Mandel is also an executive producer along with Alice Dickens-Koblin, Peter Herschko and Brian Veskosky. It will premiere on Spike in 2017.

In the show, Robinson poses as a driver, picking up unsuspecting contestants who can then participate in a karaoke-inspired game show.

Earlier this year Spike greenlit The Awkward Game Show, which makes its debut this fall.
