NEW YORK: Spike has given the go-ahead to its first in-studio game show, to be produced by the outfit behind Hell’s Kitchen and American Ninja Warrior.

Titled That Awkward Game Show, the 11×1-hour title will be hosted by actor and comedian Jeff Dye (Last Comic Standing, I Can Do That). It’s produced by A. Smith & Co. Productions.

Each episode will feature three teams of two (one parent and one adult child) trying to figure out which embarrassing factoid is related to their teammate. In order to advance throughout the game, contestants will have to identify uncomfortable truths about their loved ones. The parent/kid duo that answers the most questions correctly will win a cash prize.

The show will tape this summer and debut in the fall.
