Azteca, Astro & Global Station Launch New Telenovela Format

CANNES: At this week's market, Azteca, Astro and Global Station presented the first look at and first episode of A Love to Remember, the hit Mexican telenovela adapted for the Asian market.

Starring Anzaina Nasir and Hisyam Hamid, A Love to Remember (Memori Cinta Suraya) follows a woman who must overcome greed, selfishness and a number of injustices to fight for the love of her life. The show is currently in production on Langkawi Island. It is slated to air on Astro.

Earlier this year, Azteca, Astro and Global Screen inked a deal for the production and distribution of telenovelas. Under the agreement, Astro and Global Station will co-produce Azteca telenovela formats adapted for Malaysian and regional audiences. These productions will then be internationally distributed by Azteca.
