New Docuseries Joins Televisión Dominicana Lineup

Televisión Dominicana has snapped up the exclusive U.S. rights for the new Dominican documentary series Titans of the Time (Gigantes en el Tiempo).

Titans of the Time tells the stories of young people who were assasinated during former Dominican leader Joaquín Balaguer’s first 12 years of presidency, and the country’s fight against human rights violations and political corruption. Televisión Dominicana, which targets the Dominican community in the U.S., will broadcast a new episode of the show on November 26 at 7 p.m.

Francisco Gimenez, the general manager of cable networks for Hemisphere Media Group, parent company of Televisión Dominicana, said: “Television Dominicana is proud to bring our viewers a new docuseries about the struggles Dominican youth faced in the fight for freedom. This new series produced by Grupo SIN acknowledges the prominent roles these ‘Gigantes en el Tiempo’ played in Dominican history and we know these stories are important to our viewers in the U.S.”
