Telemundo Pacts with Paramount Pictures & DreamWorks Animation

MIAMI: Telemundo Media has licensed the rights to a number of feature films from Paramount Pictures and DreamWorks Animation, bringing a number of box-office hits, including Mission: Impossible—Ghost Protocol, to U.S. Hispanic audiences.

Films debuting as part of the pact include Monsters vs. Aliens, J.J. Abrams’ Star Trek, Transformers: Dark of the Moon and Puss in Boots. The films will be presented on the channel in Spanish.

“Our audience expects to see high-quality programs not only in our original productions but in all of the programming we air across the network,” said Maria Iregui, the VP of program planning and scheduling for Telemundo Media. “This new deal allows us to continue to deliver the very best in animation, including many of our audience’s favorite blockbuster productions, providing entertainment the entire family can enjoy together.”
