Sundance Channel Gears Up for LatAm Launch

NEW YORK: Sundance Channel makes its debut in Latin America for the first time on September 17, delivering the original series Rake and Mr Selfridge alongside a number of indie films and documentaries.

Among the films set for Sundance Channel in Latin America are Tiny Furniture, from Girls’ Lena Dunham, and Computer Chess, from Andrew Bujalski. There’s also a slate of documentaries that will premiere throughout the month, including The Matador and Don’t Stop Believin’: Everyman’s Journey.

Operating 24 hours in Spanish, the channel will be available in Argentina, Chile, Colombia, Ecuador, Peru, Uruguay and Venezuela on Oro, one of DIRECTV’s most widely distributed packages.
