New EVP of Operations for Venevision Studios

MIAMI: Juan Carlos Sosa has been appointed as the executive VP of operations for Venevision Studios, where he will work under Jonathan Blum, the president of Cisneros Media.

In his new role, Sosa will manage the production studios based in Medley, Florida, and will oversee all production operations. He will also lead the standardization of the production process at Cisneros' facilities in the U.S. and Venezuela. He will collaborate with Blum on the supervision of relationships with broadcasters and networks.

Sosa was first hired by Cisneros in April 1994. During his career he has held such posts as marketing and sales manager, general manager and director of telecommunications. In 2011 he became the company's VP of marketing and business development.

"Juan Carlos has a proven track record and has excelled in all the positions he has held at Cisneros; I'm confident he will be mayor force in improving productivity and efficiency at the studios," stated Blum. "His appointment, in addition to being well deserved, is part of a corporate strategy to capacitate our studio facilities for the coming future and expedite new production lines for all our clients, audiences and digital platforms."
