Miss Universe Returning to Azteca America

LOS ANGELES: For the second consecutive year, Azteca America will serve as the exclusive U.S. Spanish-language broadcaster of the Miss Universe competition.

The 65th edition of Miss Universe will air from the Philippines in Spanish on Sunday, January 29, from 7 to 10 p.m. with a tape delay. Azteca’s Vanessa Claudio, Alejandro Lukini and Marcela Cuevas will present the live Spanish-language broadcast as well as a special live pre-show that kicks off at 6 p.m. TV personality, model and former Miss Universe contestant Lourdes Figueroa will be reporting live in Manila for Azteca.

“We are thrilled to return as the U.S. Spanish-language broadcaster for this great global event,” said Manuel Abud, the president and CEO of Azteca America. “Miss Universe represents an entertaining opportunity for our audience to celebrate their Latino culture and pride while cheering on their favorite contestant from their respective native countries.”
