L.A. Screenings Spotlight: Sato Co.

LOS ANGELES: At the L.A. Screenings, Sato Co. is looking to shore up sales for the French documentary Human, which presents interviews with more than 2,000 people across 60 countries.

On the kids’ front, there is Om Nom Stories. The first season is an animation/live-action hybrid, while the other seasons are entirely animated. Also for kids is Mofy, about a shy female rabbit who lives in a puffy cotton ball.

In addition, Sato Co. is at the market offering movies featuring Bruce Lee, including In Pursuit of the Dragon and A Warrior’s Journey. “Working with Bruce Lee’s movies is an honor,” says Nelson Sato, the company’s CEO. To celebrate the iconic action star, the distributor is presenting classic Lee films that have been remastered in HD, along with exclusive scenes.

“Our goal is to continue taking high-quality content to the Latin American market,” Sato says.
