MIAMI/MEXICO CITY: HBO Latin America has partnered with Dish Mexico to roll out the digital service HBO GO for broadband internet customers in that country.

HBO GO will be distributed throughout Mexico via the online platform Dish OTT. The service will allow clients to access programming from the Premium HBO/MAX channels anywhere and anytime they want without being pay-TV subscribers. It will include multi-language options in Spanish, English and Portuguese, plus a live linear HBO channel. The service will be available for desktops, laptops, iOS and Android mobile devices, and Xbox360.

“As we announced this year, we plan to launch HBO GO as a streaming service for the entire region,” said Francisco L. Smith, the executive VP of distribution and media development at HBO Latin America. “In December, we began implementing it in Colombia and we now continue in Mexico through an alliance with Dish. Through this new service, consumers can enjoy exclusive HBO/MAX content in the way they want.”

Benjamín Ramírez, the director of marketing at Dish, added: “At Dish, we’re constantly seeking to combine innovation with the best content. This service offers a new form of entertainment for audiences who like to see the best series and movies through mobile devices, as well as original programming from HBO Latin America.”
