Grupo Televisa’s Emilio Azcárraga Jean to Take Part in MIPCOM Q&A

PARIS/NEW YORK: Emilio Azcárraga Jean, the chairman and CEO of Grupo Televisa, who has been named MIPCOM 2012 Personality of the Year, will give a keynote address on Wednesday, October 10, followed by a question-and-answer session with Anna Carugati, World Screen’s group editorial director.

This is not the first time Azcárraga Jean has delivered a keynote to the MIPCOM audience. He did so in 2007, at which time he discussed Televisa’s international businesses and the focus on forging partnerships with major players in the global media landscape.

In this year’s keynote, which will take place in the Grand Auditorium of the Palais des Festivals from 4 p.m. to 4:45 p.m. on Wednesday, October 10, Azcárraga Jean will discuss how Televisa has become a reliable partner, has expanded its distribution and co-production efforts, and is committed to producing content for all platforms: broadcast, pay TV, online and mobile.

Following his speech, World Screen’s Anna Carugati will join him on stage for a conversation that will further explore Azcárraga Jean’s vision for Televisa and for the future of the media business.
