Discovery Names EVP for LatAm & U.S. Hispanic Ad Sales

MIAMI: Discovery Networks Latin America/US Hispanic (DLA/USH) has promoted Ivan Bargueiras to executive VP of advertising sales in Latin America and the U.S. Hispanic market.

Working out of the company’s office in Miami, Bargueiras will continue to report directly to Enrique R. Martínez, the president and managing director of DLA/USH and Canada. The exec has been with Discovery since 1997, most recently serving as the senior VP of ad sales and head of U.S. international ad sales for global clients. He also took on the additional title of general manager of Discovery U.S. Hispanic, including Discovery en Español and Discovery Familia, in 2011.

“Ivan is a strategic and collaborative leader, and has demonstrated his ability to combine our scale and content mix to maximize our ad sales growth,” Martínez remarked. “Ivan has built solid relationships with our business partners and maximized strategic opportunities, helping our company exceed market growth.
