Cisneros Studios Producing Variety Show Roxanna

MIAMI: Cisneros Studios has begun production on Roxanna, a new variety show hosted by Mexican comedian and actress Roxanna Castellanos.

Filmed on a sound stage in Miami, the show will combine celebrity interviews, contests, monologues and comic sketches, as well as musical performances. Castellanos has previously hosted the morning show Hoy, been a contestant on the VIP edition of Big Brother and starred in telenovelas such as Infierno en el paraíso.

“It’s an honor and pleasure to have Roxanna Castellanos as part of the Cisneros Studios team,” said Juan Carlos Sosa, the executive VP of operations of Cisneros Studios. “Her high level of professionalism, kindness, sensitivity and humility are a combination that will have an immediate impact and connect with Hispanic audiences. It’s a very entertaining program with a lot of humor that will be enjoyed by Hispanic and Latin American families.”

Castellanos added: “When news came to me about this show, I immediately knew that this was my life project. To be able to be behind a show that bears my name represents so many things to me. I want to demonstrate all I have learned throughout my career; I want to be me, just as I am… I want people to see the real Roxanna.”
