Brazil’s Minister of Communications to Open ABTA

SÃO PAULO: Brazil’s Minister of Communications, Paulo Bernardo, will open the 2013 edition of ABTA, which is being held from August 6 to 8 at São Paulo’s Transamérica Expo Center.  

Bernardo will be accompanied by the director-general of the Brazilian Pay-TV Association (Associação Brasileira de TV por Assinatura—ABTA), Oscar Simões. João Rezende, the president of ANATEL (the National Telecommunications Agency), will also be present at the opening ceremony.

The topic of the opening ceremony will be "A new cycle of growth," during which the Minister of Communications will share his views on the current scenario and prospects for the future of the pay-TV industry in Brazil.
