HISTORY Secures New Carriage in Hungary

LONDON: A+E Networks UK has landed a distribution deal for the HISTORY channel on Hungary’s largest telecommunications operator, Magyar Telekom.

HISTORY is now available to subscribers of Magyar Telekom’s extended basic package. Magyar Telekom customers will also be able to access the channel via the TV GO online service. The pact also includes distribution to hotels across Hungary.

Adrian Pilkington, the senior VP of distribution and strategy at A+E Networks UK, said: “We are very pleased to agree [to] this important deal with Hungary’s largest telecommunications operator, enabling thousands of Magyar Telekom customers the chance to enjoy our world-class entertainment channel HISTORY.”
