LONDON: A+E Networks UK has inked a new carriage deal with BT TV, which includes the long-term availability of the HISTORY, H2, Lifetime and Crime + Investigation networks on the platform.

Under the new agreement, Lifetime (Britain’s Next Top Model, Dance Mums with Jennifer Ellison) will be offered to subscribers of BT’s basic pay package, Entertainment Starter. The deal also includes the launch of new HD channels for Lifetime and H2 later this year. A+E Networks’s HISTORY, H2 and Crime + Investigation are already available on BT TV in the U.K.

A+E Networks UK’s senior VP of distribution and strategy, Adrian Pilkington, remarked: “A+E Networks UK has a long-standing and close partnership with BT so I am delighted that we have not only agreed a new long-term carriage deal, but that we have also expanded our offering on this fast-growing U.K. platform. This increased reach will mean even bigger audiences can enjoy our great shows across HISTORY, H2, Lifetime and Crime + Investigation.”

Tony Singh, the business affairs director for BT TV and BT Sport, added: “We’ve got a great and growing lineup of channels on BT TV and we’re thrilled to extend our partnership with A+E. BT’s customers love great factual programming and we’re delighted that they’ll now be able to enjoy all their favorite HISTORY, H2, C+I and Lifetime shows in HD.”
