ZDFE Backs Venture for Online-First Productions

MAINZ: ZDF Enterprises is bolstering its activities in the digital arena with the launch of Streamwerke, focused on online-first output.

Headquartered in Berlin, the company emerged from F12 Media, the digital subsidiary of ZDF Digital Medienproduktion. Jannik Hülshoff and Dennis Papirowski have been appointed to manage the company. The objective of Streamwerke is to independently develop and produce high-quality online-first content, distribute it, optimize its range and moderate on all relevant social media platforms. Streamwerke will operate its own web studio in Berlin for its own productions as well as commissioned content. Both CEOs previously worked for Google for many years.

“We are convinced that with Streamwerke GmbH we have created the best structural conditions for exploiting the opportunities in the area of digital online content,” said Alexander Coridass, the president and CEO at ZDF Enterprises.
