Topic Picks Up Four New Thrillers

Topic has licensed exclusive U.S. and Canada rights to four European series from Newen Connect, including the Sky Italia drama Christian.

Christian is a six-episode Italian thriller series that follows a resident of a crime-ridden neighborhood on the outskirts of Rome who apparently has the power of curing people with his hands.

The eight-episode Dough is a Swedish crime drama about Malou, a divorced, financially strained mother in a Stockholm suburb who starts leading a double life when she accidentally finds 5 million euros from a failed robbery.

The four-part miniseries The Spectacular is based on a true story. It follows team leader Jeanine Maes, an academic recruited for the criminal investigation into violent IRA attacks on British soldiers stationed in the Dutch region of Limburg.

The eight-episode White Sands is a crime-based “beach noir” about an undercover expert and a homicide detective secretly sent to a Danish seaside town to solve the murder of a young German man while pretending to be a married couple.
