Lionsgate Play Set for Launch in the Philippines

Lionsgate Play is expanding its Southeast Asian reach with a planned launch in the Philippines.

The OTT service has tapped Ma. Cecilia Marino as general manager for the Philippines as it expands beyond its existing markets of India, Indonesia, Sri Lanka and Bangladesh.

Rohit Jain, managing director for South Asia and and networks—emerging markets Asia, noted, “We are thrilled to expand into the Philippines, where over a third of the population uses OTT services, a trend that has accelerated in the past two years as Filipinos become avid streaming consumers. We see this as a great opportunity to reach and engage with them. As part of this process, we are building a strong leadership team beginning with the appointment of Ma.
