Lionsgate Play Pacts with Telkomsel

Streaming service Lionsgate Play has sealed an agreement with Indonesian telco giant Telkomsel as it looks to build a presence in the key Southeast Asian market.

The deal will bring to Telkomsel customers Lionsgate and Starz TV series such as Mad Men, Power and The Spanish Princess; the studio’s movie franchises like The Hunger Games and The Twilight Saga and third-party films. Lionsgate Play will be packaged with a data quota from Telkomsel. The telco’s subs will be able to access a sneak preview of the Lionsgate Play movie slate via its own video platform, Maxstream.
