HITS Movies Lands on Astro

Rewind Networks has secured carriage for its HITS Movies channel in Malaysia, inking a deal with leading pay-TV operator Astro.

At launch, HITS Movies will be available in HD as part of a complimentary preview for two months for all Astro customers. The year-old service, which features blockbuster films from the ’60s to the ’90s, is now in five markets, following rollouts in Singapore, Indonesia, the Philippines and Sri Lanka, reaching 7 million homes. It joins the HITS channel, showcasing classic series, on Astro.

The HITS Movies slate includes The Sound of Music, Sister Act, Magnificent Seven, Freaky Friday, Mary Poppins and Alien.
