Fish of the Day Leads Blue Ant’s Sales in AsiaPac

TORONTO: Blue Ant International has sold more than 500 hours of 4K and HD factual, lifestyle and factual-entertainment content across the Asia-Pacific region.

National Geographic Channel International (Asia) picked up two lifestyle series from Blue Ant International, including the 10×30-minute HD program Fish of the Day, hosted by Clarke Gayford. National Geographic Channel International also acquired all three seasons of What’s for Sale? The 39×30-minute HD series introduces potential homebuyers to a selection of houses with jaw-dropping views.

Discovery Networks Asia-Pacific licensed several hours of wildlife and nature programming. In India, the broadcaster picked up Land of Gremlins, a three-part 4K and HD series that explores the island of Madagascar and its evolutionary history. Mystery of Evolution, Attack and Defend and Wildlife Icons were also part of the sale. In addition, Discovery Networks Asia-Pacific picked up Land of Primates for Japan and Coastal Africa for Taiwan.

Scripps Networks Interactive in Asia went for the lifestyle series Post My Party featuring professional event planner Lynzie Kent as she helps a party host pull off an unforgettable event in each episode. Scripps Networks Interactive also purchased the six-part design series Holiday Makeover.

In Thailand, Blue Ant International has an output deal with The Next Step Company, which sees the distributor delivering 300 hours of content annually. Highlights of the deal include Africa’s Hidden Kingdoms, which explores the most primitive plant and wildlife biomes found in Africa. Other acquisitions include Living Beach and Undiscovered Vistas.

TrueVisions in Thailand picked up the reality series Kitty 911, which follows cat sanctuary volunteers as they save kittens in crisis. The broadcaster also purchased the sixth season of Hope for Wildlife and Kenya Wildlife Diaries, a six-part series that features the Lewa Reserve in Zambia.

Additionally, Vietnam-based Vietba Media acquired a range of content. Key highlights include Volcanic Odysseys, Great Blue Wild and The Weapon Hunter.
