Kicking off TV Latina’s Festival FAST today, Aline Jabbour, director of business development for Latin America at Samsung TV Plus, spoke on the company’s highlights and the role data analytics plays in the decision-making process.
“Our offering is based on three essential pillars: Distribution, content and advertisers,” Jabbour explained in a conversation with Elizabeth Bowen-Tombari, editor of TV Latina, in an interview that you can watch in its entirety here. “In distribution, we join the ecosystem by providing access to millions of hours of content. The second pillar is content, which must be high-quality and relevant. Samsung TV Plus’ offering must be broad, ranging from traditional channels, both free-to-air and paid to FAST channels. At this point, content studios, producers and aggregators with extensive libraries come into play. Lastly, advertisers. They have a significant advantage in accessing an audience that loves streaming. By being part of Samsung TV Plus, they benefit from precise data access from our Smart TVs and exclusive consumer content insights.”
Jabbour also discussed managing the cultural diversity of countries in their programming strategy, the work they do in territories such as Brazil and Mexico, the importance of local partnerships and opportunities for the platform in Latin America in the upcoming year.
