Creator, producer, director and actor Tyler Perry will be presented with a World Screen Trendsetter Award, in partnership with Reed MIDEM, during a virtual keynote conversation at MIPCOM with World Screen’s group editorial director, Anna Carugati.

ZDF Enterprises, all3media, A+E Networks and BBC Studios are among the initial roster confirmed for the first annual MIPCOM 2020 Global Upfronts presentations, which will be scheduled across October 11 to 13 in the Grand Auditorium in the Palais des Festivals.

Following consultation with clients, Reed MIDEM has decided that MIPCOM 2020 will not have exhibition stands in or around the Palais des Festivals and it will now take on a three-day format.

Laurine Garaude, the director of the television division at Reed MIDEM, spoke to Anna Carugati, World Screen’s group editorial director, via video conference about “getting back to business” with a hybrid physical and digital program for this year’s MIPCOM and MIPJunior.

Reed MIDEM has confirmed that the 2020 editions of MIPCOM and MIPJunior will take place as both physical gatherings in Cannes and as hybrid digital events.

Reed MIDEM has issued an update about the planning for the 36th MIPCOM and 28th MIPJunior this October in Cannes, which the organizer said it is "actively working on delivering."
