Rakuten TV Bolsters Sports Programming Around Olympics

Rakuten TV is poised to celebrate the Paris 2024 Olympic Games with a range of sports content across exclusive originals, movies and FAST channels.

Rakuten TV’s originals collection includes titles such as We All Play, exploring the reality of the LGBTQ+ athletic community; Ona Carbonell: Starting Over, which follows the Olympic synchronized swimmer on her journey to the 2020 Games shortly after becoming a mother; My Decision, by Andrés Iniesta, exploring a love of football vs. unwanted retirement; and Karate-do: The Path of Sandra Sánchez, charting the story of the competitor’s path to self-improvement.

The summer of sports-themed FAST channels includes Red Bull TV, featuring Red Bull Cliff Diving, and FIFA+, which shows original content and previous FIFA tournaments. The lineup also features news channels such as Euronews, Reuters, CNNi, Bloomberg TV and Breaking News. Further sports-related FAST channels include the Tennis Channel, DAZN Women’s Football, Fuel TV, World of Free Sports, Wonder, Nitro Circus, USGA and PGA Tour.

A selection of sports-focused movies is also available to rent, buy or watch for free. These include Challengers, Bend It Like Beckham, Next Goal Wins, Champions, Road House, Rocky, Creed III and Space Jump, among many others.
