Red Arrow Studios International to Bring Diverse Portfolio to Cannes

A crime series set in the cafes and opera houses of 1900s Vienna leads Red Arrow Studios International’s drama slate.

Vienna Blood sees cultures and ideas collide as the show’s main character, Max, a student of psychoanalyst Sigmund Freud, finds himself embroiled in the investigation of a series of disturbing murders.

Conspiracy thriller Departure follows the mysterious disappearance of Flight 716 and the subsequent investigation into what happened to the plane and its 256 passengers. The show features a star-studded ensemble, including Archie Panjabi, Christopher Plummer, Kris Holden-Ried and Claire Forlani.

Then there is Bad Mothers, a “sexy, glossy, funny drama about modern women juggling life’s big issues: love, family, careers, infidelity…and murder,” said Bo Stehmeier, Red Arrow Studios International’s president. Another drama heading to MIPTV is The Girl from St. Agnes, a murder mystery that centers on the mysterious death of a schoolgirl at an elite boarding school.

Among the non-scripted shows Red Arrow Studios International is taking to Cannes are The New York Times series The Weekly and factual true-crime series The Curse of the Vologne.

In the formats genre, Red Arrow will put the spotlight on the new home makeover show Renovate Don’t Relocate, as well as social-experiment format The Restaurant That Makes Mistakes; factual-entertainment format Every Family Has a Secret; dating format Next Exit: Love; weight-loss competition show Diet Wars: Chef Showdown and Beat the Rooms, a studio game show from Nippon TV.

“Red Arrow Studios International’s diverse slate of high-quality content will resonate with our clients around the world,” said Stehmeier.
