Game of Thrones Once Again Tops TV Piracy Rankings

For the sixth year in a row, Game of Thrones has taken the crown for the most-pirated TV show through BitTorrent, according to TorrentFreak.

The highest number of people actively sharing an episode of the hit HBO original across several torrents was 400,000 at its peak, right after the season finale came online.

The Walking Dead remains in second place this year. The Flash ranks third, up from 2016’s number four spot. The Big Bang Theory moves from sixth to fourth place.

There were plenty of newcomers on 2017’s list as well: Rick and Morty (5), Prison Break (6) and Sherlock (7). The top 10 is rounded out, in consecutive order, by Vikings, Suits and Arrow.
