eOne Television Ups Carolyn Newman to SVP of Scripted

Carolyn Newman has been promoted to senior VP of scripted programming at Entertainment One (eOne) Television.

Newman joined eOne in August 2016 in the new role of VP of scripted programming for eOne Television, tapped to focus on the development of “bold and compelling” TV projects for the U.S. market. She will now expand her remit to include securing IP from the global market to bring to the U.S. and sourcing co-production and presale opportunities while working closely with eOne’s three other development hubs. Before eOne, Newman was at Amazon Studios, where she held senior posts across development and production on more than 20 series.

Pancho Mansfield, the president of global scripted programming at eOne Television, said: “Time and time again Carolyn has proven she has sharp instincts and a great sense for developing and packaging television.
