Sophie Turner Laing to Receive International Emmy Directorate Award

Sophie Turner Laing, CEO of Endemol Shine Group, is set to receive the International Academy of Television Arts & Sciences’ 2018 Directorate Emmy Award.

The International Academy’s Special Emmy will be presented to Turner Laing at the 46th International Emmy Awards Gala, on Monday, November 19, in New York City.

Turner Laing overseas Endemol Shine Group’s network of more than 120 creative production companies in 23 markets, responsible for global hits such as Big Brother, MasterChef, Peaky Blinders and Black Mirror, and last year producing in more than 50 languages.

“Sophie Turner Laing’s career is exemplary in every respect,” said Bruce L. Paisner, president and CEO of the International Academy of Television Arts & Sciences. “From co-founding HIT Entertainment in 1989 to leading roles at the BBC, Sky and now Endemol Shine, she has time and time again made her mark on our industry. We are looking forward to recognizing her visionary leadership and unyielding passion for the world’s best production talent, at our gala in November.”
