Video Interview with Lionsgate’s Jim Packer

NEW YORK: Jim Packer, the president of worldwide TV and digital distribution at Lionsgate, met with World Screen’s Anna Carugati to discuss the importance of delivering underserved audiences targeted, niche content.

The fast-moving OTT market has become a key focus for Lionsgate as of late. The U.S. studio announced a partnership with Univision to launch a premium SVOD service targeting the Hispanic movie-going audience in the U.S. This marks its fourth OTT platform, following Tribeca Shortlist, in partnership with Tribeca Enterprises; Comic-Con HQ, which launched last summer; and Laugh Out Loud, a collaboration with comedian Kevin Hart and his HartBeat Digital banner.
