Video Interview: Wattpad WEBTOON Studios’ Aron Levitz

Harnessing the power of storytelling from the Wattpad and WEBTOON platforms, Wattpad WEBTOON Studios has positioned itself as an innovative multi-format studio making global fan- and data-driven TV shows, films and books. After launching and building the Wattpad Studios brand, Aron Levitz stepped into the role of president of Wattpad WEBTOON Studios with its founding in June 2021.

Levitz’s expertise in international fan-driven content has led to a growing number of high-profile projects for Wattpad WEBTOON Studios. This includes the Netflix success Through My Window (A través de mi ventana), adapted from the Wattpad webnovel of the same name by Ariana Godoy, one of the platform’s most successful Latinx authors. Indeed, Levitz has been at the forefront of developing popular Spanish-language stories into original films, with new projects such as Perfectos Mentirosos and Boulevard. In all, Wattpad WEBTOON Studios has a slate of 100 TV and film projects in development and production, with an increasing focus on uplifting projects across Europe and Latin America.
