Wattpad Hits She’s with Me & The Last She Being Developed for TV

Sony Pictures Television is developing the Wattpad stories She’s with Me and The Last She for TV.

H.J. Nelson’s The Last She has more than 12 million reads on Wattpad and is one of the most-read science-fiction stories on the platform. It centers on Ara, the only surviving female after a devastating plague who must leave her hidden mountain home and venture out into the tribal world forged from the collapse of civilization in search of a clue her father promised could spell hope for the human race.

Jessica Cunsulo’s She’s with Me is one of the most popular stories on Wattpad, with more than 140 million reads. The print version of She’s with Me, from Wattpad Books, was released on January 7. The story follows Amelia Collins, a high schooler in witness protection who hopes to keep a low profile—that is until she bumps into Aiden Parker, the most infamous guy in school.

Sony Pictures Television signed Wattpad to an overall deal in 2019 whereby the studio has a first look at up-and-coming Wattpad stories. Wattpad currently has nearly 50 TV and film projects in development with studios around the world.
