New Online Destination for Sci-Fi Fans

LOS ANGELES: Gunpowder & Sky, the global content studio co-founded by ex-Viacom exec Van Toffler, has launched a multiplatform destination devoted to “binge-watchable sci-fi.”

DUST is offering up short films, series and behind-the-scenes content from established and emerging filmmakers. The lineup includes the feature film Where the Shadows Fall and the platform’s first exclusive worldwide premiere, Never Happened. Aligning with producer Steve Tzlirlin, DUST has curated a selection of 100 short films. It has also begun work on its first original, Product Wars, created by filmmaker Stephan Zlotescu.

DUST is also producing factual programming around sci-fi and technology and is developing a number of feature films.

Gunpowder & Sky was founded by Van Toffler, former CEO of Viacom’s Music Group; Floris Bauer, former global head of corporate development and strategy at Endemol; and Otter Media, a joint venture of AT&T and The Chernin Group.
