MIAMI: The series Day 5, a top title for GRB Entertainment, is set in the immediate aftermath of a fatal sleep epidemic that saw most of the world’s inhabitants die in their beds.

“GRB is actively moving into scripted programming, and Day 5 is the perfect choice for lovers of apocalyptic dramas with an edge,” says Melanie Torres, the company’s director of international sales.

El Americano is one of GRB’s 11 Spanish-language feature films, which Torres says are “action-packed” and “will have you on the edge of your seat.” The movie follows as a Special Forces team, hired by the U.S. government to find and apprehend fugitives, is ambushed by an organized group of Mexican mercenaries. With awards season just around the corner, Torres believes interest will be high for Close Up with The Hollywood Reporter.

“GRB’s new programming slate offers our global partners top-quality, fresh content across a variety of genres,” says Torres.
