January 20: Former CBS exec Dan Harrison has been named the executive VP of scheduling at FOX.

Harrison previously served as the senior VP of strategic development at CBS Corporation, and was responsible for identifying and implementing organic growth opportunities. Prior to that, he was the senior VP of the emerging networks group at NBC Cable, where he launched and managed all aspects of various digital cable and mobile networks, including Sleuth, Chiller, Universal HD, NBC2Go and NBCNews2Go.

“Dan is not only a proven strategic scheduling executive, but he also brings invaluable expertise in emerging networks to FOX,” said Kevin Reilly, the president of entertainment at FOX. “With his program planning experience across broadcast, cable and sports entertainment, and his background in digital and mobile platforms, Dan is the ideal guy to step into this role as we continue to drive the industry forward.”

“While at NBC I hired Dan to be my sidekick and I am thrilled that he was interested in reuniting,” said Preston Beckman, the senior strategist at Fox Networks Group. “Dan is passionate about television and a true broadcaster. His addition to a veteran, dedicated scheduling team will ensure FBC’s long-term success.”
