LOS ANGELES: Venevision International has struck up an exclusive partnership with Women in Film’s TV & Media committee to give its members a chance to pitch their proposals for scripted and non-scripted programs.

WIF members will get the chance to pitch their ideas to a panel of Venevision creative experts for evaluation as potential programming on the Venevision network or pay-TV channels. The shows must have a Latin spin and be targeting women between 25 to 50. If a proposal is selected, the creators would be hired as part of the production crew and/or receive credit for their contribution. The application process will start in January 2013.

Danica Krislovich, the chair of WIF TV & Media and WIF board member, said: "We have been making great strides in providing exclusive opportunities for our members to make contacts and receive guidance and mentorship in TV and digital entertainment. Working with Venevision will allow members the potential to launch a television series in a vital market. We are all very excited for this significant and rare partnership."

“Venevision is one of the leading production companies in the industry today,” added Chevonne O’Shaughnessy, WIF foundation trustee. “It’s rare to find an organization that equips individuals with a formula for making successful films. Whether it’s social media, advertising or securing the proper writers and production team, we are excited for Venevision to share their expertise with Women in Film. It is a great opportunity for our members, and we are excited to see this partnership come to life.”

“We are excited to collaborate with Women in Film on this project, which allows creativity and innovative ideas to flow without restriction, enabling and empowering women in the industry. This is a great opportunity for all of us,” stated Adriana Cisneros de Griffin, the vice chairman and VP of strategy of the Cisneros Group of Companies.
