MIAMI: Univision Network and Warner Music are teaming up for the singing competition Va Por Ti, with the show’s winner nabbing a recording deal with Warner.

The title launched in September, with the winner set to be announced December 7 during the finale. Va Por Ti is a co-production of Televisa and Univision. It features three teams of contestants, each mentored by popular Latin music artists

“At Univision we take pride in forging the next generation of Hispanic talent, from actors to presenters to singers,” said Alberto Ciurana, the president of programming and content at Univision Communications. “This new partnership with Warner Music for Va Por Ti raises the competitive stakes even higher, and further elevates our commitment to properly launch the winners of our reality programs.”

“The wealth of talent that is being exposed and cultivated through the Va Por Ti competition is remarkable,” said Iñigo Zabala, the president of Warner Music Latin America. “Warner Music is thrilled to partner with Univision to offer the winner a recording deal, and we can’t wait to see who will emerge victorious. Good luck to all the competitors.”
