Olympusat Picks Up NTV Series & Docs

NTV has secured deals for six series and ten documentaries with Olympusat to expand its reach in the U.S. and Latin American markets.

The first deal includes the crime series 99% Alive and The Consultant, the action series 99% Dead, the period crime drama Gangs of Rostov, Line of Fire and the crime thriller Demolitionist. Olympusat also acquired the rights to the NTV documentaries Conquering the Arctic: Missions Impossible, Longevity Pole, Top Secret Vehicle and others.

NTV`s projects will be available to subscribers of the new AVOD platform Free TV. Currently, the platform is available across Latin America in Argentina, Chile, Mexico, Peru and Colombia, among other countries in the region. Today, the total subscriber base of the platform is more than 1.1 million people. The service is also available through the Roku set-top boxes. All acquired NTV projects will be dubbed into Spanish.

Timur Weinstein, NTV channel general producer, said: “NTV gathers its pace in the U.S. and Latin America markets. The Olympusat deal significantly enhances the channel’s air time and digital presence in these regions. This time around, the deal included action-packed crime TV series and documentaries.”
