Olympusat has acquired a package of Spanish-dubbed scripted content from ORF-Enterprise’s portfolio of TV movies and series for its Spanish-language networks in the U.S.

Per the deal, Ultra Film will air Carve The Joint (El Bromista) and Death on Ice (Muerte en el Hielo) from ORF’s Backwoods Crimes crime strand, as well as CopStories (Historias de Policia). The detective series The Nosy Brothers (Detectives por Accidente), Janus (Psicología del Crimen) and Fast Forward (Intuicion Criminal), meanwhile, will be shown on Ultra Macho.

The prehistoric comedy miniseries Stone Age Affairs (Romance en la Edad de Piedra) premiered on Ultra Familia, and Spotlight Murder (Asesinato En La Mira) has bowed on Ultra Docu.

Armin Luttenberger, head of content sales international, said: “We are pleased to see that the footprint of Austrian fictional content continues to grow in territories all over the world. The deal with Olympusat now makes ORF’s rich fiction catalog available to Spanish-speaking audiences.”

John Baghdassarian, VP of content acquisitions and strategy at Olympusat, said: “We have a solid track record of identifying content that will be successful and ORF productions enable us to significantly expand our library. We’re always looking for ways to increase the wealth of choice available to viewers.”
