MGM & VIP 2000 Enter Deal for Latin America

NEW YORK: A new multi-year agreement sees VIP 2000 taking on free-TV rights for several new titles from the catalogue of Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer Studios (MGM) for certain territories across Latin America.

The deal includes The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey, which hits theaters in December; GI Joe 2: Retaliation, in theaters this summer; and Hansel and Gretel: Witch Hunters, due out in spring 2013. Other titles included in the pact are The Zookeeper, 21 Jump Street, Silence of the Lambs, Rain Man, Terminator and more. VIP 2000 is bringing the titles to 14 countries in Latin America, including Argentina, Venezuela, the Dominican Republic, Paraguay, Uruguay and Panama.
