MIAMI: ESPN International and the Union of European Football Associations (UEFA) have extended their partnership for four more years, allowing ESPN to continue airing major tournaments in Spanish-speaking Latin America and select countries across the Caribbean.

Through the deal, ESPN and FOX Sports will divide matches equally for the UEFA Champions League, the UEFA Europa League and the UEFA Super Cup for the 2015/16 and 2017/18 seasons. ESPN’s coverage of those games will be broadcast on multiple networks, including ESPN+, ESPN2, ESPN3 and ESPNHD. Additionally, rights for the matches will extend across the brand’s regional digital platforms, such as ESPN.com, the ESPN FC app and the ESPN mobile web.

“This renewal underscores our ongoing commitment to always deliver world-class content to our fans across Latin America and the Caribbean,” said Tim Bunnell, the senior VP of international programming, production, marketing and advertising sales for ESPN International. “We have a long history as a UEFA Champions League and UEFA Europa League broadcaster. These competitions are the most prestigious club soccer events in the world, and we are eager to build on the success we have had over the years in presenting these tournaments to our viewers.”
