MIAMI: BBC Worldwide has named Anna Gordon executive VP for Latin America, effective next month.

Based in Miami, Gordon will report to Paul Dempsey, the president of global markets. She will oversee all of BBC Worldwide’s businesses in the region, and will be accountable for P&L and strategic decisions in 19 territories, including the U.S. Hispanic market. Additionally, she will be responsible for delivering new brands, products and service initiatives, as well as continuing to drive future revenue growth.

The executive’s most recent roles within BBC Worldwide’s London organization include project lead in the rollout of the company’s global OTT services and as director of sales strategy for global non-English-speaking markets. Prior to that, she was head of commercial development at the BBC.

“The demand for British content in Latin America is stronger than ever and Anna’s impressive track record in the BBC and close affinity with the region make her the ideal person to lead our ambitious plans in one of the world’s fastest growing TV markets,” Dempsey said.

Gordon added: “I am incredibly excited to be taking up the executive VP role in Latin America. The region is a high priority for BBC Worldwide and I look forward to working with the team to take the business to the next level and fulfill its considerable potential for growth.”
