Mattel Teams with AirConsole for In-Car Hot Wheels Game

Mattel and AirConsole have partnered to launch Hot Wheels: Xtreme Overdrive, an exclusive game for BMW customers.

“Cars are no longer just about driving them, they’re becoming entertainment hubs,” said Anthony Cliquot, CEO of N-Dream, the company that developed AirConsole. “BMW’s continuous investment into exclusive content with AirConsole is a testament of in-car entertainment’s growing importance. With BMW and Mattel, we’re proving that the passenger experience can be as iconic as the drive itself.”

A signature feature of the game is the Panoramic Drive track, a level that allows players to race Hot Wheels cars inside the BMW Vision Neue Klasse X. Beyond the track, players can get behind the wheel of a car inspired by the BMW iX3. Players can earn points from races to unlock Hot Wheels cars and customize them.

BMW drivers can access AirConsole directly through the BMW infotainment system.

Hot Wheels: Xtreme Overdrive will be exclusive to BMW drivers until June 2026.
