LONDON: FremantleMedia Kids & Family Entertainment (FMKFE) has revealed that Giochi Preziosi (GP) will serve as the toy distributor for the hit preschool property Kate & Mim-Mim in key European territories.

The appointment was made by Just Play, the master toy partner for Kate & Mim-Mim. Just Play’s new collection of branded toys will be sold in the U.K., Germany, France, Italy, Spain, Portugal and Turkey. The U.K. rollout is slated to kick off this summer, with the other territories following in the fall. Created by Scott and Julie Stewart, Kate & Mim-Mim chronicles the adventures of an imaginative little girl and her toy rabbit. The show, which has been sold into 120 territories, debuted in 2014 on CBeebies in the U.K., Disney Junior in the U.S. and Super RTL in Germany.

Dario Berte, GP’s CEO, commented: “We’ve always admired the storytelling and exceptional production values evident in the Kate & Mim-Mim series. It’s a highly engaging and innovative girls’ preschool brand with a distinctive look and great lead characters that Just Play has captured beautifully in their launch year product offering.”

Charlie Emby, co-president of Just Play, said: “We’re thrilled to partner with FremantleMedia and Giochi Preziosi to launch the Kate & Mim-Mim toy line around the world. Our team has created a fantastic range of toys that bring this enchanted series to life, and we look forward to seeing the line flourish thanks to the synergies coming from these new partnerships.”

Tracy Griffiths, the VP of licensing and consumer products for FMKFE in EMEA and Australia, added: “We are delighted to have Giochi Preziosi on board as Kate & Mim-Mim’s major European toy distribution partner. With Just Play’s strong new toy range and Giochi Presiozi’s pan-European distribution reach and experience, we have the perfect team on board for this exciting new girls’ preschool property. The initial Kate & Mim-Mim lines for AW 16 were very well received on the Just Play stand in Hong Kong Toy Fair and we have high hopes for the upcoming toy fairs in London and Nuremburg.”
