RTS Unveils Additional Speakers for Cambridge Convention

The Royal Television Society (RTS) has confirmed that Robert Kyncl, YouTube’s chief business officer, will deliver an international keynote at this year’s Cambridge Convention.

Joining Kyncl as an international keynote speaker for the conference is Kevin Mayer, chairman of DAZN Group. Further speakers added to the lineup include Casey Bloys, chief content officer at HBO; Sir John Curtice, professor of politics at the University of Strathclyde; Dharshini David, economist and broadcaster for BBC News; Dame Melanie Dawes, CEO of Ofcom; Oliver Dowden MP, secretary of state for digital, culture, media and sport; Stephanie Flanders, senior executive editor for Bloomberg News; Lorraine Heggessey, chair of Grierson Trust and Channel 4 Growth Fund; Maria Kyriacou, president of ViacomCBS Networks UK, Australia and Israel; and Ralph Lee, CEO of Studios Productions for the BBC.

Among the other additions are: Sander van der Linden, professor of social psychology in society and director of the Cambridge Social Decision Making Lab at the University of Cambridge; Naga Munchetty, journalist and presenter for BBC Breakfast; Matthew Price, journalist and presenter at Sky; Brandon Riegg, VP of nonfiction series and comedy specials at Netflix; Beth Rigby, political editor for Sky News; Lutz Schüler, CEO of Virgin Media O2; Sanjay Singhal, CEO of Voltage TV; Marianna Spring, specialist reporter at the BBC; Rhodri Talfan Davies, director of nations for the BBC; Deborah Turness, CEO of ITN; Jane Turton, CEO of All3Media; Kirsty Wark, journalist and writer; and John Whiston, managing director of continuing drama and head of ITV in the North for ITV Studios.

The 2021 event is set to take place across two days from September 15 to 16 at King’s College in Cambridge. It is entitled “Broadcast Britain: Reshaping Britishness on the global stage.”
