SPI/FilmBox’s Filmstream Channel Launches on Samsung TV Plus

SPI International/FilmBox’s new ad-based digital channel Filmstream has made its worldwide debut on Samsung TV Plus in the U.K.

Filmstream, the newest addition to SPI’s expansive streaming portfolio, currently features a broad selection of independent movies and world cinema classics from iconic directors such as Hitchcock, Kurosawa, Fellini and many others. The channel plans to expand its lineup with Hollywood blockbusters and popular hits in the future.

Samsung TV Plus comes automatically installed on all 2016-2020 Samsung smart TVs and offers over 50 channels to users across news, sports, entertainment and more. SPI/FilmBox and Samsung Electronics had previously partnered to bring linear channels and VOD content from major distributors to Samsung smart TVs via SPI’s content service, FilmBox Live.
