NATPE Spotlight: Inter Medya

Inter Medya is looking to expand the distribution of its drama series Bitter Lands and The Pit, as well as its new reality dating show The Perfect Couple, developed with Colombia’s DMT Producciones.

On a private island, 11 women and 11 men compete to win keys to rooms within the island’s only house, eventually choosing a partner with whom to share their room. “The challenge is that not everyone has a place in the estate,” says Inter Medya Sales Executive Beatriz Cea Okan. “This fast and exciting format will definitely attract the crowd.”

Telling a love story set in 1970s Istanbul, Bitter Lands is performing well in Turkey, with a 28 percent share on Thursdays in prime time. The Pit, starring Aras Bulut Iynemli and Dilan Çiçek Deniz, has already sold in Georgia, Afghanistan and Chile.

“Our extensive catalog contains some of the most important Turkish productions with many well-known actors,” Okan says.
