NATPE Spotlight: Newen Distribution

The series Tomorrow is Ours leads off Newen Distribution’s NATPE highlights.

The thriller saga is “perfectly designed for daytime, with a great production value and filled with episodic cliffhangers,” says Malika Abdellaoui, the company’s managing director. “The European markets reacted very positively during MIPCOM, and we’ll soon announce a major first sale in Europe, which shall be followed by many more.”

Newen Distribution is also presenting Filthy Rich, a soap from New Zealand that has already sold to Hulu in the U.S., and Pants on Fire, a comedic studio entertainment format. “This fun and distinctive show stands out thanks to its creativity,” Abdellaoui says of Pants on Fire. The format was originally commissioned by NPO 3 in the Netherlands, and FremantleMedia Australia secured the rights before it officially launched.
