Russia’s NTV has commissioned a local adaptation of the series OURO in a deal with Newen Distribution.

The original Canal+ adventure series, created by Fabien Nury and produced by Mascaret Films and Shine Fictions France, will be adapted by Drive. Originally set in French Guiana, the story will be transferred into the Siberian taiga in the 2000s.

The action thriller follows Vincent, a 20-year-old geology student who takes an internship with a gold mining company. He becomes embroiled in the lucrative and dangerous world of gold trafficking.
